If you asked Orlando, FL based husband and wife duo Lester and Holly what the “Life” verse of their ministry is, you would find Romans 12:1-3 as their daily devotional. “Therefore, I urge you, brother and sisters, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship.”
Lester and Holly met while in college and have been leading all who hear them in an anointed time of renewed desire for a closer relationship with Christ. Lester and Holly have performed in just about every genre of music that is out there today. From pop-rock to barbershop to opera, musical theater and vocal orchestra, their diversity and unique sound has kept them busy in whatever vocal arena they set foot in. Their music has taken them literally around the world, from Walt Disney World, professional theater productions to live internet, television performances, commercials, movies, studio work, international competitions, concert tours, arenas and churches in 44 states and 4 countries. But greater than all of this, is their love for the Lord and their desire to follow and obey the Spirit of the Lord, not only in worship, but in everyday living.
With 3 CDs to their credit, (“Testimonies,” “That Day” and “Honestly,” produced by Sam Katina (Katinas) and Dave Wyatt (Toby Mac), Lester and Holly continue to push the limits of praise and worship, with the release of their new six-song EP “Face 2 Face.” The lead-off single from the new EP, “God Can Use You”, is the story of a single woman who is struggling to make it in this current day. Her positioning in life as well as the news of society has left her feeling as though she has no possibility of faith, hope or love. Like her, it is in this place that many live, feeling abandoned by their current status in life; physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and economically. It is the commission of those who call themselves sons and daughters of God to take advantage of the opportunities that are all around them to be a conduit for God to those who, like this young girl, are unaware (because of their circumstances) that in Christ they have faith, hope and love, that produces a convincing and unfailing future. Lester Rector says of their new EP, “Face 2 Face is a discipleship record, our continuing theme of how we disciple through our music and worship. Holly and I believe worship is about who you are and not what you do; not just one act, but the life we live in Christ is worship, and the songs in this project reflect that”.
